You can find out more information on our website http://salisburypoint.tnsing.com
The Salisbury Point Railroad Historical Society, was a non-profit organization, established for the purpose of preserving and making available information pertaining to the history of the Amesbury branch of the Boston & Maine Railroad, the Boston and Maine Railroad itself, its predecessors and related materials pertaining to the history of railroads in New England
Due to SPRRHS’s dwindling membership and especially in order to preserve the Salisbury Point Station, all SPRRHS’s assets were taken over by the Amesbury Carriage Museum on 7/22/2015 and SPRRHS was dissolved.
The station forms part of Heritage Park at the bottom of Water Street in Amesbury.
The SPRRHS website and links will still be available in the short term for ex SPRRHS and Carriage Museum Members reference purposes.
Note that the SPRRHS publicity video above is now out of date due to dissolution
of SPRRHS but it does serve as a historic reference to the station and shows some
of the other assets.
